Lydia and Sam came to Puglia from far away, but not by chance: years earlier, a road trip through this very region had become one of the happiest memories of their life together. Coming back here to get married, at Masseria Calderisi between Fasano and the sea, was the natural conclusion of that love story with the place.

"We chose our wedding venue in Puglia because it holds a special place in our hearts. Years ago, we took a road trip through this beautiful region and fell in love with its landscapes, charming towns, and the warmth of its people. It was during that trip that we shared some of our happiest memories — drives through olive groves and gorgeous dinners. We wanted our wedding to capture that same relaxed, joyful spirit — more like a holiday with friends than a formal event. It felt only natural to return to this place that means so much to us, and to share it with the people we love most."

And that's exactly what came through in every moment of the day: a relaxed atmosphere, closer to a holiday among friends than a formal ceremony. The dusty-blue palette of the bridesmaids' dresses, the colourful confetti in paper cones, the tent among the olive trees for dinner — everything spoke of two people who had chosen this place for what it meant to them, not for fashion's sake.

Getting ready happened in the masseria's rooms, blue dresses hanging in the window light, Sam's groomsmen helping each other before the ceremony. These are always the moments we love telling — the most intimate, least "posed" part of the whole day.

A ceremony among centuries-old olive trees

The ceremony took place outdoors, under an arch of white flowers, with guests seated among the estate's centuries-old olive trees — seen from above by drone, the scene told the scale and beauty of the venue all on its own. After the ceremony, a portrait on the masseria's rooftop, with the Apulian countryside in the background, became one of the most beautiful and representative shots of the entire day.

As evening fell, the party moved to the long tables set out in the garden, lit by candles and lanterns. The drone captured this moment from above too: the masseria fully lit up, guests gathered around the table, the Apulian countryside fading into darkness all around.
